Next Generation Sequencing for Cystic Fibrosis Mutation Analysis
Biomnis Ireland is pleased to announce the availability of our Next Generation Sequencing test for Cystic Fibrosis mutation analysis which can detect 96% of the CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) gene mutations.
Until recently, commercial diagnostic kits commonly used in routine genetics laboratories could only detect the most frequently encountered mutations (between 20 and 36 mutations depending on the kit used). Our Next Generation Sequencing test detects 1707 out of 1818 mutations and therefore offers the most comprehensive analysis for
cystic fibrosis.
