Eurofins continues to grow global footprint with acquisition of ELS
Eurofins Food and Water Testing UK and Ireland has announced completion of the acquisition of Environmental Laboratory Services (ELS), the leading provider of accredited water and environmental chemistry testing in Ireland.
The completion now means the world-leading testing business can offer customers an even greater range of highly specialist chemistry testing services.
The ELS acquisition is the third completed by Eurofins in the UK and Ireland in the past 12 months and highlights a commitment by the business to further grow its global footprint.
Phil Coles, Managing Director of Eurofins Food and Water Testing UK and Ireland, said the completion represented “exciting times”.

ELS provides a range of expert testing services, including pesticide analysis, drinking water and waste water compliance testing and cleaning process validation testing.
The company, which will remain under the leadership of Brendan Murray, will add a specialist testing facility in Cork and 27 employees to the existing portfolio, as well as a distribution and collection network, covering all of Ireland.
Speaking about the acquisition, Brendan said: “This is a good news story for ELS Ltd, its staff and customers, and I am very excited about the potential to develop our business further as part of the Eurofins organisation.”
